Power Plays Record: 88-67

Lightning @ Canadiens – Game 4 – Lightning Money Line (1.62 | -161)

The Bolts have an opportunity to sweep the Habs, close out the series on the road, and capture their second Stanley Cup in as many years. Our betting model has the Lightning at 70.9% money line favorites and oddsmakers are giving us the value to back this play.

The Habs have only been able to generate 1.50 expected goals for per game in the series. That’s well under Tampa’s 2.56 expected goals for per game. Nikita Kucherov has taken over the series as he continues to fill up the scoresheet. In the series, he leads all Tampa skaters in goals (3), shot attempts (22), shots on net (12), slot shots (9), cycle chances (10), and forecheck chances (2).

At the start of the series, we mentioned that the key to the Stanley Cup Finals would be the duel in goal and unfortunately for Habs fans, Andrei Vasilevskiy has dominated in that department. He’s seen a significant increase in all of his playoff numbers across the board in the Finals. Against Montreal. the Russian netminder is sporting a 1.67 goals against average, a .943 save percentage, a .935 slot save percentage, and a .909 inner slot save percentage. When the Bolts have needed him the most, Vasilevskiy has stepped up as these numbers are unmatched by any other goaltender in these playoffs.
