Islanders @ Lightning – Game 7 – Over 5.0 Goals (1.76 | -132)

Thanks to Anthony Beauviller’s overtime heroics, we’re gearing up for game 7 in Tampa. The Bolts will need to find a way to bounce back fast and there’s no better place to do it than at home.

The Lightning average 3.14 expected goals for per game in front of their home crowd and are led by the playoff goal-scoring leader, Brayden Point. Point leads all playoff skaters in expected goals for (6.40), slot shots (33), and cycle chances (24). He’s also riding a nine-game goal-scoring streak and there’s nothing the Isles can do to stop him.

On the other side of the ice is Mathew Barzal who came alive in game 6. To no one’s surprise, Barzal is near the top of almost every offensive metric for the Islanders. A part of Barzal’s game that’s got us turning our heads is his ability to the dirty areas of the ice. The Isles’ star leads all playoff skaters in rebound chances with 7 and anyone who’s played the game before knows that players pay a hefty price for those types of opportunities.

Take the value on the over as we’re sure to see some offence from Point and Barzal as well as a possibility of multiple empty netters.
