Power Plays Record: 71-57

Golden Knights @ Avalanche – Game 5 – Golden Knights Money Line (2.25 | +125)

Just when we thought the Golden Knights were done for, they managed to beat the Avs in back-to-back contests to tie the series up at two games apiece. Credit for Vegas’ success goes to their stellar defensive play.

It’s not an easy ask to keep Nathan MacKinnon and company in check but the Golden Knights have done just that. (specifically in their last two meetings) In the playoffs, no team has allowed fewer shots on net (24.5), slot shots (10.3), and rush chances (4.6) per game than Vegas. The Golden Knights have held the Avalanche to just 2.18 expected goals for per game in the series that’s a significant decrease from what Colorado has averaged during the rest of the playoffs. (3.38 expected goals for per game)

We’re not counting out this year’s Presidents Trophy winners but the momentum and the value are on Vegas’ side tonight.
