Wild @ Golden Knights – Game 7 – Wild Money Line (2.60 | +160)

For the first time in the 2021 NHL season, hockey fans get to hear two words that instantly send chills down their spine. “Game 7”. What makes this game intriguing, in particular, is that the Minnesota Wild has an opportunity to knock off the President’s Trophy runner-up in the Vegas Golden Knights. Against all odds, it’s become a winner-take-all scenario and we’re jumping on the Minnesota wagon based on the value we’re seeing.

If the Wild want to come out on top tonight, they’ll need to continue to wreak havoc in front of Marc-Andre Fleury. Minnesota has seen success offensively but not in the traditional way. They rank dead last among playoff teams in slot shots with an average of 9.5 per game. Despite their limited scoring chances from that high-danger area, they’ve still managed to convert off the counter as well as in tight around the Vegas net minder. The Wild possess a bottom tier attack in almost every single one of our metrics except for in forecheck chances (4th) and rebound chances (16th).

Earlier in the series, we mentioned that one of Vegas’ weaknesses was their inability to protect the front of their net efficiently. Well, it looks like Minnesota has figured that out and are taking full advantage of it. Keep a close eye on Joel Eriksson Ek and Jordan Greenway tonight as they have the potential to be that game 7 unsung hero. Eriksson Ek leads the team in forecheck chances while Greenway leads the team in rebound chances.
