Power Plays – April 1

LogiqBets’ Power Plays give you a deeper look into tonight’s most valuable plays. All selections are made by our team of Hockey experts and are backed with the most advanced data and betting models in the business.

Stars @ Predators – Predators Moneyline (2.05)

The Preds seem to be back on track with 8 wins in their last 10 contests while the Stars’ brutal schedule is catching up to them. Nashville is the definition of a funnel offense meaning that they have no issue throwing a high volume of pucks on net from outside the slot. Despite their below-average ability to create chances from that area, they rank 9th in Shot Attempts and 15th in Shots on Net.

Anton Khudobin won’t need to steal the game for the Stars but it’s almost a guarantee that he’ll be tested often. He’s put up solid numbers this season, especially against Smashville but we’ve got to ride the hot hand here and there’s too much value pass up.

Penguins @ Bruins – Under 5.5 Goals (1.83)

Pastrnak, Marchand, Crosby, Guentzel, and the Bruins are starting their third-string goalie… This seems like a shootout in the making right? Look passed the player and team names and dive into the numbers. Both the Pens and the B’s have been phenomenal in their own zone this season, they shut down the slot and force teams to find other ways to beat them. The Bruins do have a high-volume offense which is concerning however, the Pens have been able to slow it down in their 4 games this season.

Dan Vladar gets his second career start tonight which is another red flag but we have full confidence that the Bruins elite D should be able to rally around him and if you need some more reassuring, none of the games between Boston and Pittsburgh have hit the 5.5 goal over this year.
