Power Play record: 3-0

Rangers @ Capitals – Rangers Moneyline (2.25)

Fade the voices telling you that Ovy’s found his groove, the Rangers are on the second leg of a back-to-back, and their backup tendy is getting the nod in today’s matinee. The New York Rangers know how to play the Washington Capitals. New York is 3-1 against the Caps this season and they’ve been able to keep them in check offensively in all of their contests.

Defensively, the Rangers have limited Ovy’s squad to 1.50 goals and 2.05 Expected Goals For  on a per game basis, that’s pretty impressive considering the firepower that Washington possesses. Special teams are going to play a major factor today. New York draws more penalties than any other team in the league but can’t seem to convert as they rank 25th with the man advantage. We all know the Caps have no trouble in that department so the Rangers’ 5th ranked PK is in for a tough test.
